Eastern Conference playoff standings recap:

While the Bruins haven't done themselves any favors, it certainly feels like the Ottawa Senators and rookie netminder Andrew "The Hamburglar" Hammond have (as of tonight) stolen the last place wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. There's plenty of hockey left, but maybe the Bruins are too late to the party? Or maybe the Hamburglar's run is over? We'll see.

Superhero Baby

More hockey on its way soon... in the meantime, here's an invite to a superhero-themed baby shower I recently designed for an expecting couple (minus the information). It read, "Come celebrate Name and Name's future sidekick!"

Ovechkin missing practice had Capitals equipment manager Brock Myles looking for new "equipment". NHL's injury reporting in general leaves much to the imagination.

It looks like after Phil Kessel went all "disappointed parent" on the media and Dion Phaneuf and Joffrey Lupul initiated legal action against TSN (after an inappropriate tweet aired during trade deadline coverage) the Canadian media is going all-out in order to tread more lightly around Toronto Maple Leafs players...
